Deep red in colour, with intense aromas of red berries. The wine is beautifully poised on the palate, with nice oak balance and a wonderful freshness.

The Vesevo vineyards are situated at 450-700m above sea level in
the Irpinian hills of Campania, potentially one of Italy's most
exciting wine producing areas. The soils have a poor, volcanic
character (as a result of volcanic ash being blown inland from
Vesuvius over the centuries), which gives a real depth of flavour to
the white varieties that is preserved in the winery by Marco Flacco.
The Aglianico, from the warmer area of Benevento, is a fine and
affordable example of one of Italy's greatest grapes, while the
Taurasi is in a class of its own.
