The three plots into which the vineyard is divided (Cadreita, Villafranca and Caparroso) are very close to one another, which means that they share the same type of climate and a similar soil type. The climate in the region is very extreme, going from very cold winters to very hot summers, with very low rainfall, mainly in spring and autumn. The soils on which the vineyards lie are alluvial terraces of the Ebro and Aragon rivers, which means that they have large elements (boulders), which, together with the texture of the soil, gives excellent drainage.
