Tasting Notes:
Rich, ripe blend with the 20% merlot softening out the back palate grip of the cabernet sauvignon. A powerful, deep, aroma varying from red berry fruits to black cherries and leads into a sweet, full bodied, intense, richly flavoured palate. Sourced from vineyards owned by the Veritas winery along the western side of the Barossa Valley.

Rolf and his sister Christa are a second generation wine family based in the heart of the Barossa Valley. After graduating from Roseworthy, Rolf joined his father in 1982 in their old winemaking 'shed' in Langmeil Road. A new winery was built up the road in 1999 with the old press making the journey. The press is one of the keys to Rolf's winemaking style and when I asked Rolf how old it was he replied 'They found the press but they didn't find the ark'! Christa worked for Wolfblass and overseas where she specialised in white wine production. With three Parker 99 ratings under his belt, Rolf has forged a world wide reputation for himself and his wines. The quality of the fruit and a very recognisable style of winemaking are the hallmark through all his wines.
