Tasting Notes:
Available in cases of 12 only The colour is clear and bright, with a hint of green. The nose is quite expressive initially dominated by capsicum but then followed by aromas of tropical fruit. The mid-palate mouth feel is rich, with a 'citrus oiliness'. The lingering freshness of the wine is enhanced by mineral notes of gunflint, typical of the Elgin terroir. Style: A dry white wine. The ideal wine aperitif but best enjoyed with food. Refreshing summer time wine, it pairs well with salads and lighter meats. Richer seafood and cheese platters make it work through autumn and winter.

Cape Diversity recognizes the cultural and bio-diversity of the Cape. 2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity. The Cape is the smallest and has the most diverse plant kingdom in the world with more than 8550 plant species. Culturally South Africa is also incredibly diverse with 27 recognised 'official' languages! The labels depict the 3 plants species that are the essential trio found in the Cape's natural indigenous vegetation called Fynbos. Ericas, Restios and Proteas. The Erica Patens is a rare Heather that can be found in the mountains above the Cluver vineyards. In January 2010 Dr Paul Cluver Snr was trapped by flames while fighting a forest fire to protect this plant. The Restio Staberoha is a reed with a golden seed head that forms a key part in the fynbos around Stellenbosch. The Protea Serruria or Spiderbush plant is a rare protea that was thought to be extinct but was rediscovered near Malmsbury, 192 years after it was last recorded.
