Fournier Centauri Red Blend 2007 Maule Valley

Tasting Notes:
Available as cases of 12 only. Cassis tends to dominate the nose at the start but behind the blackcurrants are fresher red fruits intermingling with bilberry. The Merlot shows on the palate, the black plum is fleshy enriched by some dark chocolate. The spicy herbal freshness of the Carignan gives a lighter feel towards the back. Winner of the Red Blend trophy was O Fournier, Centauri Blend 2008 Maule Valley, only the second vintage of this characterful blend of Cabernet Merlot and Carignan, taking advantage of the ancient vines to be found in Maule, a region that is being increasingly recognised".
