Matilda Plains Sauvignon Blanc 2008 Langhorne Creek
Tasting Notes:
The perfect growing season of 2008 has allowed us to capture the true varietal characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. It is a zesty wine providing lifted ripe fruit aromas balanced by a palate displaying a touch of citrus with clean acid structure and a crisp refreshing finish. A perfect partner to salad, white meat, slightly spicy Asian and Mediterranean food or just to enjoy a glass on its own anytime - Serve chilled.

The Matilda Plains winery and wines are named after the Willson family border collie dog Matilda. The dog had the canny knack of knowing when the sugar level was rising in the grapes and on her morning walks would sample the fruit. When she stopped spitting out the grapes the vineyard staff knew it was time to start collecting samples.
