A Fourtin Brut Rosé NV, Marne Valley
Tasting Notes:
Only available in cases of 6. The Brut Non-Vintage Rosé is salmon pink in colour, with fine aromas of cherry and red berry from the Pinot fruit, and the classy, refreshing palate of Chardonnay. There is a touch of brioche and toasty complexity on the palate from just under 2 years ageing. The wine finishes long, with succulent red cherry, strawberry and citrus.

A. Fourtin produces a range of modestly-priced Champagnes from the region’s top sites - Pinot Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne, Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bars, and Chardonnay from the villages of Nogent L’Abbesse, Vert Toulon and Grauves. The large percentage of Pinot used by winemakers Laurent Vaillant and Christophe Pitois for the Brut Non-Vintage blend (60% Pinot Meunier and 35% Pinot Noir) results in a succulent, red berry fruit-driven style of Champagne. The dosage is restrained and complements rather than masks the very good quality fruit, while eighteen months’ ageing gives a lovely golden colour and elegant aromas of citrus and toast.
